About Me

Since my blog will be about people, let us start with someone easy. This one will be about me!

(This is my first time blogging so if you could spare a few minutes, could you give me comments / critiques on what you think of this blog? Thank you!)

I am A Beer and I’m a Filipina, born and raised in the Middle East. Growing up on a foreign country, I, of course, grew up to be bilingual. I was shy and quiet but had a good number of friends.

What kind of school do you think a Filipina like me would go to? Guess what?

I went . . . to an Indian School.

An Indian “International” School actually. My brothers and I were the second, third and fourth Filipinos there. The first one was a cool senior who ruled the school. She was really smart and athletic.

Just as how I have never met an Indian at that time, my classmates never met a Filipino either. In fact, they never heard of the country Philippines before! The common questions I hear at that time were:

Are you Chinese?”

“Do you eat cockroaches?” or “Is it true you people eat cats?”

“Where in the world is Philippines?”

. . . I could only give them a “wtf look”.

Years later, my siblings and I seems to be destined to be in the worse class ever (I still love my school though). The teachers and most likely the principal hates us a lot.

Though weak at studies, I had many unique classmates. There were some with special skills, some with unique interests or personality. I acquired a not-so-special skill but was seemingly among those unique students. I got the skill of drawing. My school doesn’t teach art so being able to paint and draw reserved a fairly good but lame title for me. “The artist of MIS”.

I am honest, ridiculously honest. From nice little compliments like, “Wow! You have really beautiful eyes!” and a bit rude sentence, “If you really act like this all the time, no wonder everyone dislikes you”

. . .

Okay. . . That was a bit way too rude. Fortunately, the people around me understand. It’s actually rare for me to say something rude about someone/something. It’s also rare for me to get angry! Cause I don’t want to. I don’t want to get angry because I end up throwing a desk/chair to shut them up. . . And in the end, my parents will have to pay for the damages.

Let us wrap this blog up with my interests. I show interests in many things, especially new experiences and hobbies (Probably the reason I am trying out blogging). I am currently on to art, coding and phycology I often act straight forward if there is something I want or need to do. I like hearing other people’s stories and opinions too. What they think about themselves, what their goal in life is or what kind of life they wish to live in the future etc.

If there is anything currently interesting around me, I guess it would be a challenge I’m doing with my best friend right now. We figured we’d be nervous meeting new people once we move to the Philippines. So I proposed that we do the “100 new friends” challenge where we meet other people we always pass by but never talked to

Maybe with the little bit of time, both of us (me and you, reader) could be friends as well . . .? What do you think?

Well? What do you think of this blog? Did I do well or badly? Please tell me your opinions! Go on! You can as harsh as you want! However . . . do point out the problems of the blog though.

Do you think adding art of the person I’m talking about would be a good idea?

If you could also answer some of my questions, what do you think is interesting about you? It could be something great about you (or weird and creepy) or anything about someone else you could think of.
